Pilots Point Instrument can examine all the tests: AureusAlert® (ALL S. AUREUS), EPI-M™(MRSA), and EPI-V(VRE)™, and MRSA!Alert™(environmental). Data is captured on a real time basis and is available on the LED on the instrument or transmitted to virtually any computer system.
In addition, in process is an Epidemiology program tailored for each institution (by subscription) that will transmit and analyze statistically the data for the hospital Department of Epidemiology, Risk Assessment Officer, Laboratory, Infectious Diseases, etc. A ‘map’ of the institution is generated and each day the positive rate per number of cultures analyzed arithmetically (number of positives) and also statistically (change from previous, tracking positivity rate, etc) that allows a focused, cost-effective and preventative response.
